Steps
- Obtain the installer from the official project source and verify its expected signature or checksum when provided.
- Review requested permissions and pause for device-owner approval where required.
- Complete onboarding, then run a read-only version check.
Verify and recover
The application opens and reports the expected local engine. If the installer or approval is unexpected, stop, remove the installer, and ask the owner rather than bypassing controls.
