Steps

  1. Create a temporary user-defined network.
  2. Start two named test containers without publishing a host port.
  3. Resolve one container by name from the other and record the result.
  4. Stop and remove both containers and the network.

Verify and recover

Internal resolution works while the host has no published route. If it fails, inspect names and network membership before changing exposure.
