Git is your undo button. There's no free tier, it is built around Claude models only, and the terminal version assumes you're at ease in a shell.

Input: a fictional samples.csv with 30 rows, mixed date formats and a few blank cells. Ask Claude in chat to make one.
Make a new folder, put the CSV in it and turn it into a Git repository (git init, then commit the file).
Open the folder in the desktop app's Code tab, or run claude in a terminal inside it.
Ask: "Write a Python script that turns all dates into YYYY-MM-DD, flags blank cells in a new column and writes samples_clean.csv. Show me the plan first."
Approve the plan, let it run the script, and read the diff before you accept.
Open samples_clean.csv and check five rows by hand against the original.
Commit. If something went wrong, go back to the last commit and ask again.
Done when: the cleaned file opens, your five spot checks are right, and Git shows exactly the new script and the new CSV.
