A plugin packages how your team does a job. Inside are skills (written procedures Claude follows, callable with "/"), connectors to services such as Google Drive, Slack or DocuSign, and sub-agents. You install it once and Claude starts every relevant task already set up. Anthropic offers plugins for sales, finance, legal, marketing, HR, data analysis and operations; partners such as Salesforce add their own; and a plugin called Plugin Create helps you build one. Plugins work in Claude chat, in Cowork, and in Claude Code when you sign in with the same account.

Plugins from the public directory get only a basic automated review unless they carry the "Anthropic Verified" badge. Some include local programs (MCP servers) that run with your permissions, so install only what you trust. Hooks and sub-agents run in Cowork and Claude Code, not in plain chat. Plugins installed from a marketplace or saved locally can't be shared, and in Cowork, connectors can only reach servers visible from the public internet.

The job needs exact, repeatable steps and a run log: n8n.
You only need instructions for one coding project: a CLAUDE.md file in Claude Code.
Your team's assistant and shared tools must run on your own server: Open WebUI.

Workflow
Create a project, add or import the relevant material, state the task and decision points, then review the generated plan or draft before using it elsewhere. The learner remains responsible for selecting material and judging the result.

Prices checked 23 September 2026 (Claude pricing (opens in a new tab), US dollars before tax): plugins come with every paid plan, and no separate plugin price is listed. Pro is $20 a month ($17 billed annually), Max $100 or $200, Team $25 per seat monthly or $20 annually, and Enterprise $20 per seat plus usage at API rates. Free has no plugins.
The real cost is upkeep: someone has to update the skills when the process changes, or the plugin quietly teaches the old way. Connectors inside a plugin may need their own paid accounts (a CRM, an e-signature service). Sharing a plugin with colleagues needs a Team or Enterprise owner to switch on sharing under Organization settings → Plugins & skills.

Use only material you are authorized to provide. Exact Cowork availability, account controls, and plan limits are account-dependent and should be checked in the current Claude interface and documentation.

Turn your team's meeting-summary rules into a plugin.
Input: a made-up checklist of five rules for meeting summaries (for example "decisions first", "every action has an owner and a date") and a fictional transcript to test with.
In Claude, open Customize → Plugins → Browse plugins and install Plugin Create.
Start a task, run its skill, paste your five rules and ask for a plugin with one skill called meeting-summary.
Install the plugin file it produces with the upload option in Customize.
Open a fresh conversation, type "/", pick the skill and paste the fictional transcript.
Check the summary against all five rules. If one is missed, open the plugin, click Customize and ask Claude to tighten that rule.
Done when:meeting-summary appears in the "/" menu and a fresh conversation follows all five rules without you restating them.
