Session 8
Publish to the web + a custom domain
Goal. Put your app online at a real production URL, then point a custom domain at it.
- 1Click Publish → Publish to Production. v0 builds and deploys to Vercel's infrastructure (global CDN) and gives you a live, shareable URL in seconds.
- 2Open the live URL on your phone — it's really on the internet, backend and all.
- 3For a branded address, use Publish → Customize Domain (or Project Menu ⋯ → Domains): pick a free .vercel.app subdomain (instant, with HTTPS), or add your own domain — that one needs DNS records set at your registrar, configured through the Vercel dashboard.
You'll see. A public, production URL serving your app within seconds — optionally on your own domain.
Cost. Deploying and a .vercel.app URL are included; bringing your own domain means buying it from a registrar. Check Vercel's domain docs for current limits.
Takeaway. v0 deploys to production on Vercel in one click — your app is genuinely shipped, not just previewed.
