What this curriculum stores, why, for how long, and what you can ask for. Last changed 28 October 2026.
Who is responsible
32dots GmbH, Breitenbachstraße 37, 69234 Dielheim-Horrenberg, Germany, represented by Dr. Urban Liebel. Write to info@32dots.de for anything on this page. See also the imprint.
Visiting the site
The site runs on one server of Hetzner Online GmbH in Falkenstein, Germany. Your browser sends its IP address with every request, because the server needs it to send the page back (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The server keeps no log of the pages you open or of your IP address.
Fonts, the curriculum’s pictures and video previews come from this server. Some tool logos and app pictures load from the maker’s own website or from GitHub, which then see your IP address. Links to news, sources and tools open other sites only when you click them.
Counting visits
The curriculum counts page views with Umami, run on our own server (analytics.32dots.de). It sets no cookie, stores no IP address and keeps no profile of you; it counts which pages are opened, from which country and kind of device, and which site linked here. It leaves out search terms and anything after a # in the address. A browser that sends “Do Not Track” is not counted at all (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Cookies and storage in your browser
The site sets two cookies. curriculum_server keeps your visit on the same server process while you browse and ends when you close the browser. theme is set only when you choose light or dark and keeps that choice for a year, shared with the other 32dots.de sites so they open in the same theme. Both are needed for what you asked for (§ 25 (2) TDDDG).
The site also keeps, in your browser only, whether the side menu is open, reading mode, and how far you got in a book or journey. Nothing of it reaches us.
Search and the wiki question box
What you type into search goes to this server and is answered from the curriculum’s own search index; it is not stored. A question typed into the wiki’s question box goes to this server too and is not stored. The assistant behind it is not switched on yet, so you get a notice instead of an answer. To stop misuse, the server remembers your IP address in its memory for ten minutes after a question (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Videos
YouTube videos load only when you press play. Only then does YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) receive your IP address, through its youtube-nocookie.com player (Google’s privacy policy).
No accounts
Learners need no account and cannot sign in. The editors’ sign-in is reachable only from our internal network.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, a limit on its use, a copy to take elsewhere, and you can object to its use (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can also complain to a data protection authority, for us the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
