Ask Your Own Documents and Check Every Citation

Load a set of your own documents into Gemini Notebook, or a local tool, ask questions they can answer, and follow every citation back to its passage, labelling each claim supported, unsupported or not found before you use it.

Outcome: Three answers from your own documents with every claim labelled and every supported claim traced to file, page and a short quote, which passes when a colleague can find each passage within a minute and nothing marked supported says more than its passage.

Curate a Document Set Your Team Can Ask

A shared document assistant answers from whatever is in it, including last year's policy. Write a rule for what goes in, keep a one-line register per document, test the set with three questions, share it at the right level, and name who keeps it current, so colleagues get today's answer with a citation they can open.

Outcome: A shared document set with its written rule and source register, answering three test questions (a current rule, an exception, and one the set can't answer) with citations that open to the right passage, plus one answer a colleague has used in real work. It passes when every document in the set appears in the register as current and a colleague can find the person who keeps it current.

Test and Fix the Document Assistant Your Group Relies On

When colleagues act on a shared document assistant, you need to know it finds the right passage. Write test questions with known answers, tell a search miss from a bad answer or a bad question, change one thing at a time, and leave a check and a README a colleague can rerun.

Outcome: A test folder for your group's document assistant (test questions with expected passages and answers, the settings record, a before-and-after result for one change, and a README), which passes when a colleague adds or changes one document, reruns the check from the README alone, and gets PASS or explains every failure.

Connect an Assistant to Real Documents Without Widening Anyone's Access

An assistant connected to your document system can show anyone what they could open but never found, or what they should never see. Choose how access is decided, clean up the sources first, connect with the least access, and prove with two test accounts that a restricted document stays hidden.

Outcome: A permission test record for one connected source: the access model and why, the sign-offs, two ordinary test accounts, a marker document and the results for the authorised account, the outside account and a removed member. It passes when the outside account surfaces no marker, title, snippet or citation anywhere, the shared control works for both, and removal took effect within the stated window.

Keep a Connected Knowledge Base Current, and Prove a Withdrawn Document Is Gone

Deleting the file doesn't delete the answer. Keep a document assistant that many people rely on in step with its sources: set a withdrawal window, make the sync remove what the source removed, watch four signals, handle a withdrawal incident, and hand it all to a substitute.

Outcome: A withdrawal drill record for one connected knowledge base: the stated windows, a current and a withdrawn marker checked before and after, the time from withdrawal to disappearance in every place checked, who received the withdrawn document and how they were told, and the substitute's run. It passes when the withdrawn marker is gone within the window, the current one still works, and the substitute ran it from the runbook alone.
