OpenWork is a free, open-source desktop app for Windows, Mac and Linux in which an AI agent works on the files in a folder you choose. It is built on OpenCode and adds a window for people who don't use a terminal: chats, approvals for each file change, reusable skills and a built-in browser. You bring your own model, including a local one. An optional cloud service shares skills, connections and models with a team.

Locally Uncensored is a free, open-source desktop app for Windows and Linux that runs AI models on your own computer. One program holds a chat window with document questions, image and video generation through ComfyUI, a coding agent and phone access to your own PC. The chat engine is built in, and a first-start wizard downloads a model. The maker also sells hosted graphics cards as LU Cloud.

Copilot Chat, the web-grounded chat, comes free with eligible Microsoft 365 work or school plans. The paid Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on licence adds in-app drafting and automatic grounding in the organisation's own emails, files and meetings through Microsoft Graph.

Heidelberg AI Desk, made by the curriculum's own team, installs and runs server tools as apps in containers on your own computer. n8n, Gitea, Open WebUI and Ollama are built in at fixed versions, and further apps come from a shelf. It is free, unsigned and an early test version (0.2.0-alpha.8).
